The Jewelbox, a “gem of a jewelry store” at 301 Taughannock Boulevard on Ithaca’s Waterfront, is the relocated transformation of Micky Roof Jewelers, formerly found in the Triphammer Mall. This location, on the corner of Buffalo St. (Rte. 96) and Taughannock Boulevard (across from Island Health & Fitness Club) is cozy, bright, and filled with the best of the best of Micky’s previous store. Micky Roof has been a jewelry designer and goldsmith for 30 years. As a founder of the Greater Ithaca Art Trail, Micky has been incremental in bringing a community of artists together. Her jewelry store/gallery reflects that same commitment to artistic expression, displaying a diverse selection of popular designers. GelinAbaci, Lapponia, House of Gellner, Larry Pauling, and Mokume Gane by James Binnion are just a few of the select designers and collections represented at the Jewelbox.
While the Jewelbox specializes in custom design and one-of-a-kind pieces, we also feature an extensive selection of engagement rings and wedding bands, jewelry with precious gemstones (you know… sapphires, rubies, emeralds) and superior quality semi-precious gemstones from amethyst to zircon), pearls, opals, Skagen watches…basically we have an entire store filled with beautiful jewelry!
